Meet the Principal

As the proud principal of Dr. Hesiquio Rodriguez STEM Academy, I am honored to serve our students, families, staff, and community. With 21 years of experience in education, I have had the privilege of serving students and educators in a variety of roles, all of which have strengthened my belief that every child deserves a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where they can thrive.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Brownsville and my Master of Arts in Reading with an Emphasis in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. I later completed my Principal Certification through Lamar University, further preparing me for the opportunity to lead and support students, staff, and families.

As an educator and campus leader, I am passionate about building strong relationships, fostering a positive school culture, and supporting high-quality instruction that meets the needs of every learner. At Dr. Rodriguez STEM Academy, I am committed to providing meaningful learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving while helping our students develop a lifelong love of learning.

I strongly believe that student success is built through a partnership between school, home, and community. It is truly a privilege to serve as principal of Dr. Rodriguez STEM Academy and to lead our Longhorn family. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff and families as we continue creating an exceptional educational experience where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.
